Bernie received a letter from one of the young budgies he adopted out recently:
Hi Mr. Breeder,
I hope you remember me I’m #19, well now Harry. I’m doing very well with my momma Shelly, although I like to give her a few swift nips at times when she’s got her hand in my cage. But when I’m out of the cage I do really well and sit good on mom’s hand and I let her give me tons and tons of kisses. She keeps on saying Pretty Bird to me over and over with hopes of me saying it. I’m not sure if I want to yet. My favorite foods are your seed, millet, eggs, buttered toast, apples, and pasta. I’m still eating my green beans and carrots too. But I do go crazy for eggs and toast. I even take a bath too, mom has a nice big bath for me that I can go in and spread my wings. How are my siblings doing and my birdie parents? Tell them I said Hi and I miss them. When mommy watches golf I chirp at the birds and I think of them.
I’m attaching a photo of me, so you can see how cute I am. Please be sure to show it to Mrs. Breeder as she was a nice lady too. Everyone can’t get over my cheeks and how poofy I am. heh heh.
Have a good night.
Harry
"Harry" attached a photo of himself (quite a handsome fellow!):
